The Arc of Adolescent Development

Presenter: Patricia Contaxis, MA, MFT
When: Friday, November 7, 2014
Time: 12:30 - 2 p.m.

This presentation will introduce clinicians to the developmental changes that occur in latency age children prior to puberty, and follow the developmental curve through adolescence to young adulthood. The focus will be changes that effect children's behavior, mood, coping strategies, and general relational ability over the course of adolescence, all typical problems that result in adolescent referrals. The presentation is also intended to help clinicians formulate an understanding of adolescent development that can be used in collateral work with parents and teachers.
