Speaker:Ariela Perlman, MS and Maria Howard, MS
Date: Friday, March 3, 2017
Time: 12:30-2:00pm
For students with weak executive functioning skills, one of the most difficult parts of meeting goals can often be getting started. This workshop will help professionals better understand how struggles with task initiation are experienced by students across grade levels. Actionable suggestions for both academic and home-based supports will also be explored.
Ariela Perlman, MS, is the Lead Clinician at Strategies for Learning (SFL), an East Bay clinic serving students with learning difference and disabilities. Maria Howard, MS, is an educational therapist working with students at SFL and across the East Bay. Ariela and Maria have a combined 20 years of experience in the fields of special education and educational therapy. Both have extensive classroom and one-on-one teaching experience working with students for whom executive functioning struggles feature prominently in their learning profiles.
