Sleep Issues in the Adolescent

Several case examples of adolescent sleep issues with a discussion of normal sleep and the most common sleep disorders encountered in high school age children with suggestions for management

Jerrold Kram, MD, FAASM (Fellow American Academy of Sleep Medicine), FCCP (Fellow College of Chest Physicians) opened the first independent sleep center in the US in Oakland in 1980 and has been practicing sleep medicine since then. He now has several clinics around the Bay Area.  Dr. Kram has also had an active research program investigating new drugs and devices for the management of sleep disorders. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the National Sleep Foundation since 2007 and has as a mission of increasing awareness of the importance of sleep in overall health as well as increasing the identification of patients with sleep disorders.
